Memories of Paris

We have been to Paris so many times now that we are having to be more original with our souvenirs so this time we just went to the supermarkets (although I couldn't resist the egg cup that was in the duty free at Gare du Nord! )

Busker in Paris

Gorgeous French pattisserie

Lovely books and prints on the Left Bank

Bridge of locks

We left a lock on the Long de l'Archeveche bridge and threw the key into the Seine. We WILL return to see it soon!

Paris wedding fashion shoot

Pretty Parisian street

L'Homme passage

Passage L'Homme

Paris has many secret places that are usually quite well hidden but with a bit of searching you can find them. Many streets have Passages leading off them, they usually have a name and each one is different.

We spent my husband's birthday in Paris. This is the Place des Vosges

Herb planters

I love Illy coffee and I love the tins the coffee cones in so I thought instead of throwing them away when empty I'd get some holes put in the bottoms and plant herbs in them.

Fairlight House

As part of St Michael's Hospice fund raising we went to Fairlight House which is on the outskirts of Hastings. In the 70's it was used in some of the Hammer Horror films.

Dead Simple

I'm loving this book by Peter James. His stories are set in Sussex which somehow makes them more interesting. He has written 25 novels and short stories, I have 4 of them so I will be rooting round boot sales and charity shops for the rest.

Unbirthday

My birthday is 13th January. Year after year it gets ruined due to the winter weather so a few years ago we decided I would have an unbirthday on 13th July. It's really just an excuse to go out for the day however A has gone a little crazy this year and bought me a dozen roses and  chocolates and even this pretty card! I am very lucky x

The Perfume Collector

This book looks interesting, but then again any book about perfume and Paris is bound to appeal!
